Shipping Notifications

Hi all,

We wrote code to send out shipping notifications (which is actually relatively complex as we have multiple perks per customer and multiple selections per perk to deal with), but have come to the conclusion that a better approach might be to send links to a webpage where you can finally confirm your selections and pay shipping (if you didn’t pay it when you chose your perk, which includes *all* international shipments). We’ve manually followed-up with just about every single backer who’s information seemed incomplete after the first round of data collection — but, no doubt, there’re still some folk who’s details have changed.

I’m about halfway through coding things up and should be done in a couple of days (I have to multiplex between a lot of things right now!).

Shela continues to arm the contact [at] wimoto [dot] com emails and will respond here if there are specific questions.

    I don’t visit this site often and frankly I have forgotten about this pledge – it has been so long. So what is this notification. I haven’t got any.

    1. Hi Jesse… the notification email will confirm your shipping address, your perk selections (or purchases if your order is not tied to an IndieGogo contribution), and a button to pay any outstanding shipping fees, if applicable. It will also include a shipping timeline based on where you live. They’ll all be sent out by the end of next week, though we’re aiming for sooner.

    1. Hi Alex… the confirmation emails will include a shipping timeline that will be dependent on where you live. We’re tying up loose ends, but can finally see the end in sight. The confirmations will be completed by the end of next week, once we’re over this last coding hurdle.

    Any updates with regards to the apps? I remember a post a long while ago about it… Back in December…

    Is it posted anywhere? Do you plan on releasing the android app to the google play store?

    Looking forward to ship date ๐Ÿ™‚

    I contributed for a Cloud Cube Connected pack perk via Indiegogo. I understood that the Cloud Cube will be replaced by Nimbus, an Nimbus will become available after the sensors.

    My question is:
    Will the complete Cloud Cube/Nimbus pack ship later, when the Nimbus becomes available (i.e. I won’t receive the sensors with the upcoming shipping wave you’re currently preparing) or do you ship the sensors in advance (i.e. with the upcoming shipping wave) and supply the Nimbus in a second shipment once available?

    1. Hi Ben.. yes, that is correct. Nimbus has replaced the Cloud Cube. Your Wimoto devices will be shipped first and then your Nimbus will be shipped separately once it’s ready.

    1. Hi Devin! Amazon pre-orders will ship right after our backers’ orders are fulfilled. We’ll have solid timelines in the confirmation emails that we are sending out. Unfortunately, completion was delayed because Marc had an accident last week. We’ll be back on track soon. Please stay tuned!
